At first, setting up a leader for bead fishing can seem confusing. It is actually quite easy. In the first short video, Kayla will demonstrate how to set up a simple bead rig using a standard 9 foot tapered leader. She covers pegging the bead, where to place your split shot and how high to set your strike indicator. To see the items Kayla used in her basic bead leader take a look at this cart.

In the second video, Mike will show how to create a slightly more advanced bead leader out of two sections of tippet.

In this video Mike covers how to construct a bead leader out of two sections of tippet. He covers connecting knots, using a bead swivel as a connector, and explains the advantages of using this leader.
