Fish Skull Zonkers are a beautifully tied update of the classic baitfish pattern. The Ice Queen version has a nice flashy belly and a white wing/tail that make it stand out in murky water. What really makes this fly pop though is the red throat. Whether the fish thinks the red is a flash of the gills or bleeding bait, who knows? What we do know is that trout devour this color combination, especially when fished in stillwater, slow moving streams or in the estuaries. The keel weighted Fish Skull Head gives this fly a lot of motion when stripped.

Big fish eat little fish and they don't care if they are the same species. The Rainbow version will entice big trout, from lakers to browns to monster rainbows, into wanting a tasty treat. The Fish Skull Stinger Zonker take the old classic zonker to another world. By adding the keel weighted Fish Skull and stinger hook, this pattern goes from dancing the Waltz to spinning the Tango. With the added movement and longer body, this pattern drives trout crazy.

This unique fly has been tied with an all white body and short red throat section. We don't know whether the trout see the red throat as gills or as an attractor, but we do know they slam it! Perfect for both stream and lake fishing for trout and char. Oh, and pike like it, too!
