If you could only choose one color of this fly it would be Dirty Sock. This is the color that opened our eyes to this pattern. After a 4th completely tangled bead rig on a small stream, it was really nice to swing this fly with on a floating line with no split shot, indicator or anything else and catch a ton of fish!

The Spawning Llama is a wicked combination of a flesh & egg fly and the Dolly Llama. The Peachy Orange is the fresh flesh version and fishes particularly well during the early and middle parts of the flesh bite. The Spawning Llama is 4 inches in length and is tied like a standard Dolly Llama. Except it features a hot cone and two 8mm beads tied in between the trailing hook and the body. You'll want a few in your flesh box!

An absolutely wicked silver salmon fly! Our good friends at Angler's Alibi on the Alagnak River tipped us off to this color combo. A Hot Pink STS String Leech with a Chartreuse Head. Throw in a little wisp of Chartreuse on the tail end and the S.T.S. Leech was born. Swing this bad boy or strip it in and hang on. The Alaskan S.T.S. Leech (Super Tungsten String Leech, aka the Alaskan Salmon, Trout and Steelhead Leech) incorporates a little extra weight with tungsten barbell eyes. This allows the S.T.S. Leech to dance a jig as he strips across the current.
