The Nickel/Red and Nickel/Yellow look awesome on salmon flies. We have found the Nickel/Pearl to fish best for sea run cutthroat, Dollies and rainbows.When choosing a size, we suggest the 5/32" for small Clouser Minnows (#6 or smaller) and the 3/16" for standard Clousers in sizes 1/0 - #4.

Cross Cut rabbit is cut so the fur lays perpendicular to the hide. When the strip is tied in and wound forward the fur will naturally flow towards the tail of the fly. While Cross Cut rabbit makes very nice bodies, Straight Cut is a better choice for tails. Strips are 1/8" wide and there are four 12" strips per package.

The tail itself is built with a 0.50 stainless wire, and spun with Faux Fox Self Tapering Fibers and bits of flash fibers, creating a super flashy, vibrant brush. Two 18" tails come per pack. The material sinks quickly, and can be tied without any added weight. It undulates well in the water, but also sheds water, thus false casts well. The Faux Fox tail is a great material for tying flies for a variety of species such as trout, pike, salmon, steelhead, bonefish, tarpon, GT's and other species.
