The Ice Queen version has a nice flashy belly and a white wing/tail that make it stand out in murky water. What really makes this fly pop though is the red throat. Whether the fish thinks the red is a flash of the gills or bleeding bait, who knows? What we do know is that trout devour this color combination, especially when fished in stillwater, slow moving streams or in the estuaries. The keel weighted Fish Skull Head gives this fly a lot of motion when stripped.
