It is a "pocket size" flesh fly that won't spook trout when the water is low and clear. A few beads dangling out the back take it over the top! The fly is just under 2 inches in length.

It is tied with a bit of pink on the rear of the shank that imparts a nice subtle pop of color. Due to its light weight and slender profile this is a great fly in small or medium sized rivers. The ostrich and flash come alive in the water and it doesn't hang up at the end of the swing. If you are fishing the Sandy River or other Alaska Peninsula king rivers, the Fish Taco should be in your box.

Not as over-the-top bright as many pink flies, this one will catch their attention but the shell pink front tones it down nicely. This fly is a real producer. Hartwick's Flashtail Tubes from Aqua Flies are just over 3 inches in length. They are tied with marabou, ostrich and flash. The marabou is tied in with a cone behind it so that it keeps a full profile in the water and is much more durable than a standard marabou tube fly. They are super wiggly in the water and still have a nice full profile.
