Description
The Sage Foundation rod is made in the U.S.A and features all the power and finesse that Sage rods are known for. The larger rods have plenty of power to fight salmon and deliver large flies while the lighter models are sweet casting and sensitive enough to make fighting trout of all sizes exciting. All models are 4-piece travel rods, are 9 feet in length and come with a carrying case.
The reel is a Sage Spectrum C cast aluminum large arbor model with a very nice drag. It will provide years of dependable service.
We line all models up with 20lb backing and Rio Premier Grand fly line. The Rio Grand is an amazing line that is smooth casting while still providing enough power to deliver large flies. All packages come with a 9′ tapered salmon steelhead leader.
The rod comes with a Cordura-covered PVC rod case and the reel has a padded case as well. We will spool up the reel so when it arrives you are ready to tie on a fly and go fishing!
