Description

From Us:
The Billy Pate Bonefish Reel has caught countless numbers of big fish from the tropics to Alaska. Ideal on your 8 or 9 weight rod, the anti-reverse drag system lets you hold onto the reel crank continuously without having the handle move. It is a favorite of sockeye anglers or anyone fighting a lot of fish over the course of a day.

Fully machined aluminum is saltwater safe and will last for many years. We had it engraved with a salmon which adds a nice touch of class.

The drag comes set from the factory either right hand retrieve or left hand retrieve and cannot be changed. Please order carefully.

    Everything was fine!!!

I have all the Billy Pate reels except the Marlin and Tuna. This Alaskan looks like a special addition. I have the identical reel in the Billy Pate Bonefish anti-reverse, left hand retrieve. Took both a anti-reverse Pate reel in Bonefish to Alaska for some high volume Sockeye fishing along with a Direct Drive Salmon series Billy Pate reel. I stopped using the Direct Drive Pate reel, in favor of the anti-reverse model I had with me. The pleasure of keeping your hand on the reel handle during fish surges is underestimated as to increasing your fishing pleasure. Some “pureists” frown on a anti-reverse handle on a fly reel, but for big fish 10 pounds that have the ability for quick surges with power it’s the way to go. Knuckle busting numb hands or snapped tippets are no fun.
