Bucktails – Prime Quality
Tying Tip: The hair closest to where the tail attaches to the deer is the most hollow. Hence, when you tie it in it will tend to flare out. On flies where you do not want the hair to flare, such as Clouser Minnows, try to use hair that is closer to the tip of the tail. This hair is less hollow, longer, and will sit straighter on the hook.
