Spey Marabou is premium quality marabou that features longer feather length. If you are tying Alaskabou style flies, such as Popsicles, where the marabou is wrapped around the hook shank, this is the right material. Feathers are 5″-6″ long each package is approximately 1/4 oz.
Spey Blood Quill Marabou
Kent, WA based Fish Hunter was renowned for it’s Blood Quill and Spey Blood Quill Marabous, both for quality and awesome dye jobs. Alaska and Pacific NW anglers sought patterns and jigs tied with this marabou. When Fish Hunter transfered over to Idaho based Nature’s Spirit, a couple of the Fish Hunter guys followed to continue the tradition of making supreme marabou and dyed hackle. The high quality marabou is as good today as it was back in the Fish Hunter days. Spey Blood Quill Marabou is know for it longer, whispy fibers which make excellent collars and bodies for salmon and steelhead patterns. This is our go to marabou.

Being from Europe (Netherlands) I was glad to see these longer marabou quill fibers in your webshop. I have been searching for some longer fibers for a while now and these are really great. I just used them to tie some alaskabou’s and some wooly worms and these fibers are a joy to work with.
