Question:

I will be fishing in Agiak Lake, and tributaries 8/14-20. Will a 4 wt. be OK ?

Answer:

Hi,

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not know a lot about Agiak Lake. I personally do not know much about the lake except that it has Lake Trout, Arctic Char and Grayling. From what I found, the biggest fish were Lakers and they reached about  5-6#. If this is so, I would think that a 4-6 wt rod could work well. Grayling on dries and the other on small streamers.

If you have time after your trip, you should shoot us trip report and a few photos. We love hearing about remote trips like this. Keeps us dreaming. If you need some recommendations on flies or anything like that, please let us know.

Tight Lines,
