Good morning, I’ll be arriving Thursday afternoon with my wife, teen age daughter, sister-in-law & her husband. I grew up in Juneau – but moved away some time ago. I just saw the king salmon EO. Is there a place to target bright chums? Maybe Sheep Creek or out by Amelga? Are there any reports of humpies in Echo Cove? I’ll have my fly rod, good spinning rods (with Pixee spoons, flying C & vibrax spinners) and a light pole if we find dollies. I’ll also have some cured roe using frozen silver eggs from last fall. This is my first summer in Alaska. I’m up in Fairbanks but heading to Kenai memorial day weekend to get a shot at some kings. Any fly recommendations? Trying to learn as much as possible and fishing kings is definitely a lot different than the grayling fishing i’ve been doing up here.

Been in Juneau for a number of years, just starting to fly fish. Looks for good spots through the area to do some early fishing for the spring.
