Question:
Good Morning, Not sure who to turn to on this, but I'm heading up to Hoonah in a couple weeks, July 30-August 8th. I've been on the peninsula few times and Homer area but never this far SE.
I have no idea what's running up there this time of year.
Ill be in the river system in the Hoonah area.

Answer:
Hi Ron,
Thank you for reaching out to us. We will be happy to fill you in on the fishing around the Hoonah area. It will be mostly chums and pinks for salmon and dolly varden and coastal cutthroat for the trout scene. Pink, purple and black streamers for salmon and egg patterns for trout in the streams. Small streamers and attractor dries for stillwater.
We look forward to helping you have an awesome trip.
