Question:

Two questions if you don't mind...
1) For self-guided trips, can one-man Alpacka packrafts be used on rivers such as the Goodnews, Kanektok, or Arolik? We're thinking late August of 2022 for Rainbows and hopefully Silvers.
2) Do you guys ship flies to the lower 48? I'm fishing Montana in July and thought some size 6 Dolly Llamas would be nice to try for the Bull Trout.
Thanks,
Douglas Burton

Answer:

Hi Douglas,

  1. Yes, you can float these rivers with an Alpacka. They are non-whitewater rivers and fairly straight forward to float. I have an Alpacka and have used it on the Togiak and other rivers in Bristol Bay. My main concern would be the carrying capacity of your boat. Most of these are 7-10 day trips so hauling food, warm clothing, tents, etc could be a challenge depending on the level of comfort you like to travel in. When I have used mine it has been on a 3 person trip in conjunction with a raft.
  2. We ship to the lower 48 every day! We ship via U.S. Mail so the price is quite reasonable.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
