Going to be fishing the opener on the kenai, coopers landing to Jim’s. Any advice on what to throw? I’ll be drift fishing and haven’t had any luck. Any tips would be awesome!

Thank you for the email. The Kenai Opener is one of those fisheries that is a little different every year. And what worked one year doesn’t work the following because conditions are different or the smolt are dropping out yet, or its too sunny… and the list goes on. So the best way to approach the opener is to have an open mind and have a big back of tricks ready to shoot.
