The wire body and bead head drop it right in the zone and the rubber legs add a ton of attraction. This is a great fly for reaching steelhead that are laid up along a log or tucked in a hidy hole.

Sometimes less is more and having a few sculpins on the smaller end of the scale is a good idea. Mike's Mini Sculpin is only 2 1/4" long and has a minimal amount of materials in it. It gets right down to the bottom and is amazingly life-like as a sculpin hiding in the rocks.
