Description
If the water depth is below knee-deep, a lead-eyed fly is often too much. It makes too big a splash and sinks too quickly. It is time to pull a beadchain eye CXI Special out of your fly box. The beadchain eyes are lighter and are much less apt to spook a bonefish. Plus your fly will slowly sink and stay in the zone as you retrieve it.
We offer them in three prime colors: Orange, Pink and Pearl. As well, we offer two sizes: a #6 which features medium beadchain eyes and #8 with small beadchain eyes. The #6 is the all-around fly with the little #8 being your spooky fish/ultra shallow water option.
In terms of color, Orange is typically #1, followed closely by Pink, and Pearl is your ‘change up fly’ when the bones get fussy.
