Despite the wind and the rain these last couple of weeks, the silvers and the Juneau anglers are being spotted all around town. The creeks are finally back in shape, and the channel has been fishing really well. When you get into a school of silvers, you really get into them. There are definitely still batches of hatchery fish around Sheep Creek, Salmon Creek, 5 mile and 9 mile. It looks like a promising weather window is above us for a few days, and lets all hope that the rain holds for this time so that the channel can clear up and we can get back out on the water.
If you are done chasing silvers, we can only imagine that there are some Dollies moving around in Cowee and Montana creeks. Again, this will entail you waiting for a weather window to do so, as the rain has been turning our creeks into a nice chocolate milk color recently. Try using small streamers and egg patterns for the late season trout.
Finally, after being open 7 days a week for the last 5 months, we are now transitioning into fall hours, which consists of a Monday Saturday schedule.
