We have two options for killer switch rod packages for chasing kings. Our Big Hitter Sage X package or our Anadrous Switch Chrome Chaser package. (Just click the Red X and delete the one you don't want.)
Option 1:
The Big Hitter package is simply the best of the best. It features Sage's X Switch Rod (you'll want the 8 weight), a Hatch 9 Plus Gen 2 reel, a Rio Switch Chucker and a full set of Rio Medium (T-11) MOW tips. If you want to go with a pure swinging line just let us know and we'll swap out the Switch Chucker and replace it with a running line a Skagit Max Short head.
Option 2:
The Anadromous Chrome Chaser package includes the Redington Chromer Rod in an 8 weight, a dependable and sturdy Lamson Guru 4 HD reel, Connectcore Running line, Rio Skagit Max Short head and a full set of Rio Medium (T-11) MOW tips. A sweet set up for sure.
We also suggest a handful of Rio 6 Foot Salmon leaders in 20lb and a spool of Maxima Ultragreen 20lb tippet.
