Burnt Spey Hackle

Burnt Spey Hackle is dyed goose shoulder and works for hackling Spey style flies.

Tying Tip: Soak the feathers in warm water to soften them before winding them. 

Tying Tip #2: Consider stripping one side of the feather before winding. Tie the feather in by the tip and wind forward. Avoid using the butt of the feather since it is very stiff and often will break as it is wound around the hook.
