sage 99 series Rods

The sage 99 Series Rods are a High-Sticker's dream. These are fabulous steelhead and trout rods. They are made of the same G5 Graphite as the Z-Axis but feature a unique taper and action that makes throwing indicator and split shot much easier.

They have a softer feel to them than the Z-Axis and the blank loads lower which helps create a more open loop when casting. The open loop helps avoid tangles and snarls when you are chucking split shot, strike indicators, and heavy flies.The tip section is stiff which helps deliver the fly and detect subtle strikes.

Additionally, the guides are slightly over sized to allow easier stack mending and shake-out casts. Put all these features together and you have a rod that fishes like a 10 footer and casts like a 9 footer. 

All 99 rods come with an aluminum rod case (33" long) and rod sock,  and feature an Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee. The 4, 5 and 6 weights have a Half Wells Grip and wood reel seat. The 7 and 8 weights have a Full Wells Grip, fighting butt, and anodized aluminum reel seat.
