A Sage 10 weight, 9 foot, 4-piece Flight rod is matched with a dependable Lamson Guru reel. This is a terrific package for the money. The Flight rod is a smooth casting, powerful rod that roll casts beautifully and has the power to cover big water. The Lamson Guru reel is a large arbor fully machined and anodized reel with a smooth and strong disc drag system. Both rod and reel have an unconditional lifetime guarantee. Other reel options offered are the Lamson Velocity, Nautilus CCF and the galvan torque 10.
In this package we recommend the Rio Versi-Tip fly line. It comes with five interchangeable tips that range from full floating to fast sinking. The Versi-Tip will allow you to reach the kings no matter what depth they are holding in. If you prefer a single piece line, we offer the option of substituting a Scientific Angler Wet Tip IV sink tip (medium fast sink rate), Wet Tip V (fast sink rate), rio outbound Type III sink tip (38' sinking head, great for estuary fishing,) Scientific Angler Sharksking Magnum Taper floating line or rio clouser floating fly line.
The Sage Flight rod comes with a cordura covered PVC rod & reel tube that allows you to carry your rod with the reel attached. Both rod and reel feature a Lifetime Guarantee.
