From Us:
The Sage Approach is the perfect rod if you are looking to get into the sport, but want good quality gear that you can fish from sunrise to sunset for years without complaints. The Approach is a medium-fast action rod. The 890-4 is the perfect salmon rod for kicking over streamers like the clouser minnow and intruder, where the 590-4 is perfect for your small grayling and rainbow nymphs and dries. This rod may be Sage’s entry level rod, but make no mistake, this rod packs the punch of many other company’s mid-high end rod. A great bang for the buck!
